HUGO
Character & Sculptural Dessert Design
A collectible character developed as an edible sculpture, combining industrial form, luxury aesthetics and contemporary pastry into a single physical object
A digital character translated into physical form through sculptural dessert design, precision engineering and immersive storytelling.
(Research)
Hugo began with a simple question: What happens when a digital character is designed to exist beyond the screen? The ambition was to create an original intellectual property capable of living across film, social media, hospitality, retail and collectible edible sculpture, while maintaining a single, recognisable identity. Every proportion, surface and defining feature was refined to ensure Hugo feels unmistakably himself in every medium.
(Experiment)
Translating Hugo into physical form demanded more than technical execution—it required preserving character. Every prototype refined proportion, expression, material finish and dessert architecture to ensure the object retained its personality while becoming suitable for mould production, hospitality service and collectible presentation
